Description:  

Autumn is the season of transformation. Time to slow things it down, find simplicity and start to turn inwards to put attention on those things  that need deeper stillness and space.The expressive extroversion of summer starts to wind down and the seeds for next years harvest can be sown.

 

Join this restorative course to align with this beautiful transition. Integral in this course is Yoga Nidra - a deep relaxation and meditation  practice that delivers many benefits from relieving physical stress to unravelling mental patterns. 

 

We will practice a blend of gentle movements to ease the joints, release tension and nurture wellbeing. Different breathing techniques will be infused enhancing the healing potency. Our yoga practice best serves us on and off the mat when in harmony with natural laws of the seasons.

This course is suitable for all levels, especially beginners. Mats and equipment supplied, but feel free to bring your own.

Winter Wellness

Winter is the season of stillness. Time to turn inwards and find space to nurture our inherent wholeness and connect to what it is to feel grounded and centered.  

 

Join this restorative course to align with the practices that bring us in touch with our inherent qualities of stillness and space. Integral in this course is Yoga Nidra - a deep relaxation and meditation practice that delivers many benefits from relieving physical stress to un-ravelling mental patterns. 

 

We will practice a blend of gentle movements to ease the joints, build digestive health and release energetic blockages. Different breathing techniques will be included to enhance healing and dismantle unhealthy patterns. Our yoga practice best serves us on and off the mat so we discuss how the practices can help in everyday life to foster calm and cope with stress. Explore and discover how moving with seasonal shifts brings us in touch with the natural laws that shape our outer and inner environment.  Look after your inner eco-system and experience the benefits of a steady yoga practice.

Hatha Yoga - 5 week Intermediate Course

Ongoing throughout the year

Dates: Thursday 9 May - 6 June 6.15 - 7.30pm

Location: Yogashala,  Kawai Purapura Retreat Centre, 14 Mills Lane, Albany, Auckland

Price: $90

Description: Deepen your practice through this 5 week course which will be ongoing through-out the year. Join a friendly established group and receive expert guidance on using the mediums of breath and prana to release and transform deeper tensions. Strengthen the nervous system and build inner resilience through pranayama and evolve through meditation.

This course is designed to connect you with the transforming power of a steady Yoga practice. Includes asanas to unblock prana and strengthen the joints and release muscular tension. Stand-alone pranayama techniques and close integration of breath awareness in general as pivotal to practice. Meditation and deep relaxation components. Lifestyle integration and tips and inspiration to motivate your practice.

Mats and equipment supplied but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.
